Press Release: QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking and storage solutions, today introduced the TS-431KX NAS with a quad-core 1,7GHz processor and 10GbE SFP+ connectivity. The TS-431KX provides high bandwidth for intensive data transfer, allowing SMEs and startups to easily backup/restore and synchronize data without breaking too much of their budget. The TS-431KX supports snapshot technology and HBS (Hybrid Backup Sync) local, remote and cloud backup, which enable a well-balanced disaster recovery plan to ensure uninterrupted services.
The TS-431KX features a quad-core 1,7GHz processor, 2GB of RAM (expandable to 8GB) with one 10GbE SFP+ port and two 1GbE network ports. Coupled with the QNAP 10GbE/NBASE-T Series QNAP Network Switch, users can easily create a high-speed 10GbE network environment to achieve faster and more efficient workflows. Equipped with tool-less and lockable drive bays, the TS-431KX makes installation easy while ensuring drive safety and security.
“The TS-431KX is a quad-core 10GbE NAS device that is ideal for streamlining collaborative workflows in small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) IT environments. Not only can the TS-431KX facilitate centralized data storage, backup, sharing and disaster recovery, it can also be used as an Internet of Things (IoT) platform to run a variety of productivity-enhancing applications to enhance organizational performance.” said Jason Hsu, product manager of QNAP.
The Notification Center app on the TS-431KX aggregates all QTS system events and notifications to provide users with a one-app notification solution. Security Counselor evaluates and recommends device security settings to improve NAS security. HBS allows users to back up data on a NAS device to another NAS device or cloud storage to keep one copy off-site and ensure greater data security. Snapshots are also supported to help users mitigate the threat of ransomware and accidental file deletion/modification.
The built-in application center, App Center in QTS, provides a wide range of useful applications: Surveillance Station allows you to create a secure surveillance system; Qsync automatically syncs files between NAS, mobile devices and computers; Container Station allows you to import or export LXC and Docker® applications; QmailAgent enables centralized management of multiple email accounts; Qfiling automates file organization; and Qsirch will quickly find the necessary files. Users can also download accompanying mobile apps to remotely access their NAS device to increase work efficiency.
