Apple picker Press Release: QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking and storage solutions, has introduced the high-performance QuTS hero NAS series, TVS-hx74, featuring a 4-bay model TVS-h474, 6-position model TVS-h674 and 8-position model TVS-h874, which contain multi-core/multi-threaded 12th Generation Intel® Core™ processors. TVS-hx74 with ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system ensures data integrity and supports inline deduplication and block-level data compression, near-limitless snapshots and real-time SnapSync. Thanks to PCIe Gen 4 expandability (up to twice the transfer speed of Gen 3), M.2 NVMe SSD cache and 2,5GbE connectivity, TVS-hx74 solves demanding business challenges in the field of storage, backup, virtualization and application servers.

The TVS-hx74 uses 12th generation Intel® Core™ and Pentium® Gold processors, supports up to 128GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, and features two 2,5GbE ports that allow for increased speed with Port Trunking. Thanks to the M.2 2280 PCIe slots, the TVS-hx74 allows the device to use NVMe PCIe SSDs for increased IOPS performance when configuring the SSD cache. High-speed Gen 4 PCIe slots are included to expand basic NAS functions such as add 10/25GbE network adapters, of QM2 cards to add M.2 SSDs and 2,5GbE/10GbE ports, entry-level graphics cards to enable GPU routing to virtual machines, and storage expansion cards to connect QNAP expansion units. The HDMI output allows users to directly display multimedia or virtual content that is stored or played on the TVS-hx74.
The device TVS-hx74 uses operating system QuTS hero based on the ZFS system. The ZFS file system is designed with data integrity in mind, is self-healing, and offers WORM (Write Once, Read Many Times). It also supports inline deduplication and block-level data compression technology for optimal storage utilization, faster data transfer and longer SSD life. It also supports up to 65 snapshots for a complete record of system status and data.
The inclusive App Center provides various on-demand installation applications that further expand the application potential of the TVS-hx74, such as virtual machine hosting a containers (supports LXD, Docker® and Kata Containers), makes it easy backing up VMware®/Hyper-V virtual machines, simplifies local/remote/cloud backup, simplifies Google™ Workspace and Microsoft 365® backup and much more.
