Press Release: After introducing the model TS-328 (uses Realtek processor) and model TS-332X (powered by AnnapurnaLabs processor) QNAP expands its 5-bay RAID XNUMX NAS offerings today with the launch of a premium home NAS server TS-351. Powered by an Intel Celeron J351 processor, the TS-1800 includes a wide range of features for media streaming, instant sharing, HDMI output and auto-scaling for optimal storage utilization. The TS-351 provides homes and home offices with superior file management and a multimedia entertainment center.

The powerful TS-351 uses a dual-core Intel Celeron J1800 2,41GHz processor (up to 2,58GHz). It is equipped with 2GB/4GB DDR3L memory (expandable to 8GB), supports SATA 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s drives and enables 256-bit AES encryption for full volumes and shared folders. The TS-351 features a minimalist design with efficient airflow and cooling. It thus represents a suitable addition to your home. No tools are required to install the 3,5-inch hard drive, making system installation and maintenance easier.

“The multifunction NAS server TS-351 offers media streaming and real-time transcoding. Together with dual-core performance and expandable memory, it meets the multi-faceted needs of home users," said Dan Lin, product manager of QNAP, adding, "users can also install M.351 NVMe SSD drives in the TS-2 to optimize storage efficiency and enhance application performance .”

The TS-351 features two M.2 slots that support 2 format M.2280 PCIe NVMe SSDs (M.2 SSDs are sold separately) to enhance your overall workflow. This is used by intensive applications that are demanding on the number of input-output operations per second. With the latest operating system QTS 4.3.5 users can use software-defined SSD RAID memory allocation (Over Provisioning). This makes it possible to allocate additional OP space from 1 to 60%, which contributes to the optimal performance of the SSD and maximally extends its life and durability. Together with QNAP's Qtier technology, which enables automatic NAS tiering, storage efficiency is constantly optimized between M.2 SSDs, 2,5-inch SSDs and large-capacity HDDs, with improved overall system performance and cost-effectiveness.

The TS-351 is also an excellent multimedia center that makes it easy to manage large collections of photo, video and music files. Smooth multimedia playback is ensured by H.264 hardware decoding, real-time transcoding and Full HD 1080p HDMI output. With support for Plex® Media Server and various streaming protocols, the TS-351 can stream media files to computers, TVs, mobile devices, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, or DLNA-compatible devices.

With the intelligent QTS operating system, the TS-351 works as an all-in-one NAS solution for storage, backup, sharing, synchronization and centralized file management. QTS provides block snapshot-based protection to help users effectively mitigate the threat of ransomware. The ability to host multiple virtual machines and containerized applications or the QVR Pro application also allow the user to create a professional surveillance system (with 8 free IP camera channels, expandable to 128 channels with optional licenses).
