Peter Binder Do you like puzzle games where solving individual rounds takes you more time than a few seconds or minutes? Then you will surely like QAD lite.
QAD lite is the responsibility of the Slovak development team efrom. You can recognize it thanks to the fun application String Mania (review here). Although QAD lite is currently only available as a lite version containing 6 levels, the full version should be ready by the end of November.
In the main menu we can find information about the development team, sound settings and score reset, score leaderboard and start. You can then select a level by touching start. However, after completing the previous round, individual levels become available gradually. So you have the option to choose only from fulfilled rounds. For each level, your record, or the lowest number of moves, is displayed.
The goal of the game is to get the cube onto the displayed colored circle. The colors of the ring indicate which cube you have to move onto it. You have a certain limited number of steps to move. Cubes are moved by touch, at the same time, gravity works here, so if you move the cube, it will stop at the nearest obstacle (wall), which adds to the difficulty of the game and thus to the time you spend on QAD lite. Individual rounds are really quite difficult. You'll pass the first level in no time, but don't be fooled, you won't get through the whole game that easily and you're guaranteed to sweat. QAD lite is therefore suitable for both beginners and advanced users. Otherwise, this is a very good puzzle game that will keep you entertained for a while, even if it's only a lite version.
The only thing that detracts from the beauty of this game is the lack of support for the retina display, which is manifested by a lower quality icon, as well as in the game itself. We will not encounter this problem with the upcoming full version, as it will offer Game Center support, more than 20 levels, a completely new interface supporting the already mentioned retina display, new sounds and gyroscope control. So we definitely have something to look forward to.
