As of today, the embargo has been lifted and everyone can publish their Apple iPad reviews. And as it seems, the Apple iPad has been well received, Apple iPad reviews sound very positive for Apple! Let's take a quick look at the iPad reviews..
New York Times
In his review of the iPad, David Pogue looks at the matter from two perspectives. If you are more of a technical type and need to have multitasking, a USB slot and the like, then a laptop will probably do a lot more for less money. But if you like the concept of the iPad, you'll love the iPad. In his review, he also looked at the iPad's battery life, and his iPad lasted a whopping 12 hours playing movies!
All Things Digital
Walt Mossberg, for a change, called the iPad a completely new type of computer. According to him, the iPad is a joy to work with. He observed himself using less and less laptop for casual surfing and much more iPad. He used the laptop more for writing or editing long texts or for checking pages that require Flash. Like David Pogue, he observed great battery life, when the iPad lasts more than the 10 hours that Apple claims, according to him. He had no problem typing on the iPad's touch keyboard and described the Pages text editor as a great tool for creating content. Unfortunately, Pages only exports to Word, and not always exactly.
USA Today
In Edward Baig's iPad review, there was again much praise. According to him, the touch keyboard is perfect for writing emails or notes, but it is not suitable for writing comprehensive texts. According to him, people will use the iPad mainly for consuming content, not for creating it. The first generation of iPad was successful, but there is certainly still a lot of room for improvement.
Chicago Sun Times
In the Chicago Sun Times review, it was mainly said that the user interface of the iPad is a very friendly and elegant device.
PCMag
PCMag prepared a detailed video review of the iPad, where you can see the iPad really up close.

záver
It seems that the Apple iPad has really succeeded, and as is usual with Apple, even the first generation represents precision and attention to detail. Personally, I'm really looking forward to the iPad and now I'm regretting not ordering it from the US and choosing to wait for it to arrive in Europe. This should happen on April 24, although the Czech Republic is not counted in this wave. We'll probably have to wait at least until May.

I wonder how it would be with the claim if I had the ipad shipped from America? Could it be claimed (repaired) with us or would I have to send it to the States?
The warranty is 1 year worldwide. The question is whether the service will be ready here immediately or in April (difficult)...
Well, I don't see how it is actually now. I have an iPhone from Vodafone, so if something happens, I'll bring it there. If I buy an ipad from the apple store will I have to send it to America? That is at least a month without iPad + postage. Or is there an official Apple service in the Czech Republic?
It should be resolved by a certified service:

apple is genius in the unexpected… we all got used to a certain scheme… and at that moment apple changes them… I like them for that… mainly because it benefits all of us users…
According to the technical column of the Irish independent.ie, several pieces are suffering from problems with re-connecting to the Wi-Fi site. Dual-band Wi-Fi routers are allegedly responsible for this. It is recommended to set the router to use only one frequency. Apple confirmed the info. Now we are just waiting to see if this can be solved by an iPad OS update or if it is (as some speculate) the wrong placement of the Wi-Fi antenna in the bowels of the iPad... PS: It was a bit funny that my boss sent me the link to that article - I must have accidentally gnawed it with my iPad :-D
