A few hours ago, Apple introduced the new iPad Pro, which is a big leap forward compared to previous models. The invited journalists had the opportunity to touch the news right after the end of the keynote, and the first "first impressions" of the newly introduced products began to appear on the website. As far as the new iPad Pros are concerned, the reviews published so far are more than positive.

One of the first previews was published by the server Slashgear. The author had the opportunity to briefly familiarize himself with both versions, and his text literally overflows with enthusiasm. In general, all the changes that the new iPads have seen have moved this tablet forward. Whether it is an innovative design that underlines the modern appearance of the novelty, gives it a completely new face and, last but not least, positively influenced ergonomics. The reduced bezels of the display are just right - although they may seem too large to some (especially compared to what Apple has achieved in the case of the iPhone XS), they are quite adequate for the needs of a tablet. A bezel-less tablet would be ergonomic hell.

The new displays, both in the 11″ and 12,9″ variants, are great. Apple used the same technology with them as in the case of the iPhone XR. The display in the new iPads also bears the same name, i.e. Liquid Retina. The rounded corners are pleasant, the color rendering is excellent.

Introducing iPad Pro to journalists:

The big news is the presence of Face ID, which in this case works both in vertical and horizontal mode. The Face Time camera on the front of the iPad even supports portrait mode, despite the fact that the rear camera does not have this option.

The second generation Apple Pencil also deserves great praise. Not only is it easier to work with and handle, due to the modified shape. New functions such as magnetic attachment to the iPad, the presence of wireless charging (from the iPad) and instant pairing are also a big advantage. The presence of touch sensors for gesture needs is a welcome novelty, which will certainly be a widely used element thanks to its adjustability.

Another positive feature is the presence of a universal USB-C port, which is undoubtedly a more practical option than the usual Lightning. What is not pleasing, on the other hand, is the absence of a 3,5 mm audio connector.

The main disadvantage of the new products presented today is the price, which is relatively high, even by iPad Pro standards. Basic models start at twenty-three or twenty-nine thousand and that is certainly not enough. Add some extra GB, LTE connectivity and you're on the price level of MacBooks. Add to that three and a half thousand for the Apple Pencil, five thousand for the newly introduced cases with an integrated keyboard, and the investment in the tablet begins to grow to dizzying heights. Whether it's worth the money is something you have to answer for yourself. However, the new iPad Pro is a much more capable machine than previous generations. During the keynote, we were able to see a full version of Adobe Photoshop running on this iPad. Similar applications and programs will be added, and with it, the capabilities and capabilities of the iPad Pro as such will increase.
