Gameloft released the long-awaited game gem in the form of Assassin's Creed, this time in the iPhone version. Right from the start, I have to say that the graphics of this iPhone game make me fall on my ass. It always amazes me what the developers can squeeze out of the iPhone without the game crashing in some parts (however, I'm most looking forward to Need for Speed, which also looks fantastic and is coming out really soon according to EA).

Assassin's Creed is an action-adventure game, where you will often have to avoid various traps and obstacles or possibly fight against possible enemies. The game is most similar to the iPhone game Hero of Sparta, but Assassin's Creed is at least a notch higher. More precise and smoother graphics, a perfect story, which is also very well told. However, the game was also released on the Nintendo DS (although it doesn't look as good as on the iPhone), so it must have been worked on for a long time with a large team of people.

The fights seem to be far better developed than in Hero of Sparta and the character animations are varied and really nicely animated. Combat tactics depend on the chosen weapon (there are up to 6 of them) and there are also various combos using sword cuts and kicks. Just like in its bigger brother on the console, here you can rob people in a crowd or possibly make some people talk.

Overall, I have to say this is the best attempt at a 3D action adventure on the iPhone so far. You will have small games, fights, but you will also have to demonstrate your dexterity and you will definitely get angry at times during the game. Completion time should be around 5 hours, but don't rely on this information. I think this title is really worth the €7,99 it sells for on the Appstore. For a better idea, try the video of playing this iPhone game.
