I like indoor flowers and I grow several of them at home. However, I have the biggest weakness for bonsai, i.e. miniature trees that grow in special bowls. They are known mainly in Japan and China, while the purpose of cultivation is to twist the flower so that the shape evokes the illusion of an old tree. That's why I was very pleased with the new Prune game that appeared on the App Store last week.

Prune is a relaxing to meditative game in which your task is to take care of trees and trim them to create beautiful bonsai trees. They bloom at the end of each round, and thanks to this you progress further. However, Prune has a meditative character and the point of the game is not to chase some score or collect experience. On the other hand, I had a great time playing Prune.

Relaxing Zen music also plays a part in this. Each round, a certain terrain will appear in front of you, and by simply dragging it up, you will give an impetus to your tree to start growing. However, you need to take care of it right away and trim it carefully. Likewise, you must be careful not to touch the sun, which would burn it. For this, you also have various aids, such as a small moon, with which you can indicate the direction of growth.

Each round ends with the tree blossoming and leaves filling the imaginary sky. The tree then dries and you can continue to the next round or enjoy the growth of your bonsai again. You can bend each tree as you like and it depends only on you how the resulting bonsai will look.

I have to say that in some rounds I was blown away by what was created. Prune has a unique design and graphics that you can find in the most popular games, such as the puzzle hit Monument Valley or Alto's Adventure. Likewise, Prune offers a decent portion of rounds and quite a few episodes.

If you are looking for a game to help you relax during a busy and hectic day, Prune can be a good choice. The game works on both iPhone and iPad, and you can create even more amazing bonsai on a larger tablet screen. For many, four euros for an oasis of calm can be a good investment.
