The average US iPhone user spent $2018 on the App Store in 79. That's 36% more than it was in 2017. Currently, a customer will spend $21 more on virtual content than two years ago, and this trend is expected to continue to grow.

In 2017, users spent an average of $58 on the App Store, then $2016 in 47, and only $2015 in 33. This example shows how people have learned to pay for both apps and services. They are the most popular among users of games, whose earnings have increased by 22% and from the total amount of 79 dollars they cut 44 dollars, which is more than half. The entertainment category also did well, rising from $4,40 to $8, an increase of 82%.

Although the Health & Fitness category didn't make the TOP 5, its earnings also grew by 75%, so it cuts $79 from the original $2,70 out of the $1,60 pie. The Music and Social Networks sections also grew by a total of 22%, and the Lifestyle category also rose, increasing by 86% to $3,90 from the original $2,10. In-app purchases have the main share in these numbers, as the number of applications that you can buy for a one-time amount is constantly decreasing.

It's important to note that Sensor Tower, the firm that conducted the survey, only drew data on in-app spending. The amount of $79 does not include other services such as Apple Music, iCloud and iTunes.
