Do you regret that when you create a character in a good role-playing game and share their adventures with them until the end of the game, they are never heard from again and disappear along with the game into your past? Developers from Worldwalker Games LLC apparently asked each other a similar question. So they put their heads together and created an RPG in which you will have to say goodbye to your heroes once, but definitely not forever.

However, the main attraction of Wildermyth is not the possibility of watching the way your characters will live in its world after their death, but mainly how they deal with their own lives. At the beginning of each passage through the game, you will create a new group of adventurers who will try to ward off the dark forces represented by various enemies. But the joke is that your heroes get old over time. Although this makes them more effective fighters, each of them will eventually die of age, unless some nimble enemy overtakes them by then.

You'll then be able to import fallen heroes from past playthroughs into your next attempts thanks to an editable hero pantheon. During a new passage, you can hear the legendary deeds of one of your characters from the inhabitants of the world. You will often perform such feats in tactical turn-based battles where, in addition to using various abilities, it is also important to allocate the right positions to your heroes. You get all this beautifully wrapped in a hand-painted visual.
