Moments after we you informed about the possibility of merging Apple TV and HomePod products, graphic designers from 9to5Mac rushed to the possible appearance of such a device. And it must be admitted that many would really like this solution. But the fact is that it is highly unlikely that the final product would actually look like this. Take a look at it for yourself, but we would definitely like it. According to the magazine itself, this is a shot in the dark based only on information about a possible merger of products. It is likely that the final product would not be based either on the Apple TV, which the concept is strongly inspired by, or on HomePod. It would have an original design that would be quite different from both.

Apple TV + HomePod = HomePod TV

Displayed “Apple HomePod TV" carries the company's logo, similar to the one on Apple TV, only with the smart speaker designation instead of text. The device itself then looks like a combination of Apple TV and Mac mini. The chassis is thus wider than the original smart box, but still smaller than the company's desktop computer. Of course, it is covered all around with a special mesh that can also be found on the HomePod speakers. The camera intended for video calls, which the novelty could also have, is then in the middle of the device and is hidden just behind this special surface.

On the far right side, there is a status diode that changes its light depending on how the device is being worked on. Not only does it serve as a power indication, but Siri characteristically changes colors when communicating. If you look at both models HomePod, both of which have a construction guided in height rather than in width. From this alone, you can judge that this design is actually a bit off. Because it is HomePod generally a more complex device than the Apple TV, the proportions would have to be adjusted more precisely according to its dispositions. It is also a question of how such a device would sound.

Another considered design was based more on the product line of the brand's speakers Sonos, specifically the model Arc. As they say at 9to5Mac, new HomePod The TV would actually look like the company's elongated smart speaker with a small diameter, positioned horizontally instead of how it is now.

He will come too HomePod with iPad holder

The original report on the combination of the two devices comes from the respected analyst Marko Gourmet, who published it through an agency Bloomberg. He also mentions the possibility of a combination HomePod with an iPad, using a robotic arm that would automatically rotate towards the user.

It seems more realistic HomePod in combination with a smart display. It could thus inform about the weather, present photos from iCloud, enable control of a smart home and serve as a player for the Apple TV+ service. It would be an absolutely perfect device for the kitchen.
