Apple officials have hinted more than once in the past that we will most likely never see a MacBook with a touch screen. And we can only dream about a Mac with the retro look of a classic Macintosh and a touch screen. Or not?

People have already managed to come up with a lot of things with Apple products. They appeared, for example lamps made from older iMacs, alarm clock from the eMac mechanism or maybe furniture from a PowerMac G5. Engineer and Mac fan Travis DeRose decided to remake the Macintosh Plus from 1986 in an original way. DeRose turned the chassis of the old computer into a very original "cover" for the iPad. In addition, thanks to the "Hello" wallpaper on the iPad, the entire assembly gives the impression at first glance that a Macintosh has actually been launched.

Not everyone will be enthusiastic about the "iPad Macintosh", but at least from the point of view of the construction process, it is a very interesting project. Active use of the iPad in this way will certainly not be very convenient, but the combination of a Macintosh chassis and a tablet can serve, for example, as an original setup for those who use their iPad to watch media, for example. DeRose is on Curiosityness website he did not hesitate to share detailed instructions on how to assemble this interesting combination. He himself used a combination of a Macintosh Plus and an iPad mini, but you can also use a Macintosh SE, 128K or 512K to create this set.
