Moreover, taking into account the ever-growing smartphone market. Thus, sales of personal computers have started to rise again, but we cannot yet expect that these would be revolutionary numbers.

Analyst company Gartner compared data over the past two years, and during that time the PC market saw an overall increase of 1.4%. Although Apple didn't top the list, it still boasts a 3% year-over-year increase in the second quarter of the year. Thanks to this, the company secured fourth place.

Dell, HP and Lenovo overtook Apple with their sales. Lenovo became the best supplier with a 21,9% market share. Right behind it was the HP brand with exactly the same market share, but with a smaller number of delivered units. Dell came in third with 16,8%. However, Apple did not fare as well as competing brands, with only a 7,1% share. Right after him, Acer took a bite out of the pie with 6,4%.

All manufacturers have improved over the last quarter, and we can assume that the mentioned five will continue to dominate the computer market. Indeed, PC sales appear to be stable after years of decline.

However, it is important to mention that the dates are preliminary and the numbers may change. This is also helped by the fact that it was only last year that Apple revealed the new MacBook Pro series, and they will reveal sales statistics for the entire quarter only at the end of the month. Gartner thus based their numbers on data from the inventory of retail chains.
