The Apple A6, which beats in the latest iPhone 5, was looked at in detail by technicians from iFixit and besides three graphics cores they also discovered that it is still manufactured by Samsung. However, the specific piece examined was, paradoxically, from another supplier, Elpida.
Samsung apparently continues to manufacture the A6 processors at its factory in Texas, which it recently invested four billion in and where the previous A5 and A5X processors were manufactured. However, Apple is still looking for another chip manufacturer to become as independent as possible from Samsung, after all, the two companies are not exactly in love.

If Samsung stopped making chips for them? So they wouldn't screw up and buy them from other suppliers.. I think apple has enough money to just buy all of samsung :-))
