In this respect, we can also be happy about one of the essential features of apple phones in general – they hold their value much better than competing pieces with the Android operating system. It can also be seen in the current generations. According to a survey by SellCell, which focuses on the purchase of electronics in the United States, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series lost almost three times the iPhone 13 (Pro). Based on the available information, we can say that the value of the S22 phones, after just two months, has fallen by 46,8%, while the iPhone 13 (Pro), which has been on the market since September 2021, is only down 16,8%.

For iPhones, the value doesn't drop that much

That iPhones can hold their value for a long time can be considered a long-known fact. But why is this actually the case? In the vast majority of cases, you will encounter a simple answer. Although it is not something completely extremely luxurious, the brand still generally has a strong reputation that continues to this day. That's why people want and are interested in iPhones. Likewise, it doesn't necessarily matter if they buy new or used. If it is a newer model without any major problem or intervention, then it is almost guaranteed that it will work flawlessly.

Finally, it is necessary to take into account the overall competition. While Apple is the manufacturer itself, its competition in the form of Android phones consists of several dozen companies that have to compete with each other. On the other hand, the apple company is, with a bit of exaggeration, just trying to surpass its last line and bring interesting news. Even this fact has an effect on the greater price volatility of the competition. With iPhones, we are sure that we will see a new model once a year. However, in the Android phone market, another manufacturer can beat someone else's novelty in just a few days.
