For a long time, there has been talk about the arrival of an Apple AR/VR headset, which, apparently, should significantly move this segment forward. Unfortunately, its biggest problem will probably be its excessively high price. Some sources even mention that Apple will charge something between 2 and 2,5 thousand dollars for it, which would amount to 63 thousand crowns (without tax). It is therefore not surprising that the users themselves are debating whether this product can even meet with success.

On the other hand, Apple's AR/VR headset should be truly high-end, which could justify the price. In this article, we will therefore focus on the main reasons why the expected headset can finally celebrate success, despite its expected high price. There are several reasons.

It surprises not only with its specifications

As we mentioned above, Apple is now planning to attack the real high-end segment and slowly bring the best device ever to the market. This is at least clearly indicated by leaked information provided by both leakers and respected analysts. The product is supposed to be based on 4K Micro-OLED displays with slowly to incredible quality, which will be the main attraction of the headset itself. It is the image that is extremely important in the case of virtual reality. Since the screens are closer to the eyes, it is necessary to expect a certain distortion/curvature of the image, which has a negative effect on the resulting quality. It is precisely by moving the displays that Apple plans to change this typical ailment for good and thus provide an unforgettable experience to apple drinkers.

A great difference can also be seen when compared to the Meta Quest Pro headset. This is a new VR headset from the company Meta (formerly Facebook), which looks high-end, but when looking at the specifications themselves, it raises a lot of doubts. This piece will offer classic LCD displays, which will have a direct effect on quality. LCD displays as such, according to some experts, have nothing to do in such a product. However, Apple is not going to stop there and instead wants to push the headset's capabilities several levels further.

Apple View concept

The expected headset is supposed to have a number of sensors and integrated cameras, which will play an important role in the case of tracking the movement of the face. We must also not forget to mention the Apple Silicon chipset. Apple plans to equip its headset with its own chip, which should offer enough power for independent operation. Given the capabilities of current Apple Silicon representatives, we have absolutely no need to worry about this. Although the product as such will offer first-class functions and options, it should still maintain precise processing and light weight. This is again something that the competing Meta Quest Pro does not offer. As mentioned by the first testers, the headset can give them a headache after a few hours.

Availability

The question is also when we will actually see the expected AR/VR headset from the workshop of the Cupertino company. According to current information from Mark Gurman, a reporter for the Bloomberg portal, Apple will show itself with this news as early as next year.
