The development of MacBooks is constantly moving forward. New computers have upgraded equipment and new functions. However, the current time is not the best time to buy a MacBook. Why?

Problems with the latest MacBook Pros are nothing new. These difficulties are one of the reasons why you should wait a little longer to buy a laptop from Apple. Antonio Villas-Boas from Business Insider.

Villas-Boas does not take napkins and discourages users from buying practically any laptop that Apple currently offers on its website, i.e. both the Retina MacBook and the MacBook Pro and the like, but also the MacBook Air for a different reason.

For example, one of the latest problems faced by new owners of the latest MacBooks is faulty and unreliable keyboards. The new "butterfly" mechanism is part of the MacBook keyboards from the last two years. Thanks to it, Apple laptops are even thinner and typing on them should be significantly more comfortable.

But the number of users who complain about the new type of keyboard is growing. Some keys are out of service and it is not easy to replace them individually. In addition, the price of a post-warranty repair can climb to an unpleasant height. It can be assumed that Apple will solve the problem with the keyboards in the new MacBook Pros (and hope that no other problems will arise) - this is a fairly strong reason to wait a little longer before buying a new Apple laptop.

If you don't want to wait, you can buy an older model of MacBook Pro, which has not yet shown problems with the keyboard. But it is only a matter of time before this model - whose price is still relatively high - will be declared obsolete by Apple. But the three-year-old components of an older MacBook Pro can still prove a good service, especially for less demanding users.

Even the lightweight MacBook Air, which is speculated to be updated this year by Apple, is no longer among the youngest. The MacBook Air is currently one of the cheaper laptops from Apple, but the year of its manufacture may be a problem for some users. Although the last update comes from 2017, these models are also equipped with fifth-generation Intel processors from 2014. One of the biggest pain points of the MacBook Air is its display, which falters considerably compared to the Retina displays of newer models. It is possible that Apple will listen to the complaints of users and enrich the new generation of MacBook Air with a better panel.

MacBooks are characterized by extreme lightness and thus great mobility, but they also struggle with unreliable keyboards, and their performance/price ratio is rated by many users as disadvantageous.

Problematic keyboards are not universally found in all MacBooks and MacBook Pros, but buying these models is more of a lottery bet in this regard. The solution may be to purchase one of the refurbished older models offered by both Apple and its authorized dealers. A great solution is simply to wait, not only for the actual release of new laptops, but also for the first reviews.
