The current flagship used by Apple in its iPhones is the A16 Bionic chip. Moreover, it is only present in the iPhone 14 Pro, because the basic series has to be satisfied with last year's A15 Bionic. In the world of Android, however, a couple of big revelations are about to happen. We are waiting for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9200.

The first mentioned comes from the Qualcomm stable, the second is from MediaTek. The first is among the market leaders, the second is rather catching up. And then there's Samsung, but the situation with it is quite wild, in addition, we can expect the novelty in the form of the Exynos 2300 only at the beginning of the year, if at all, because there is active speculation that the company will skip it and will focus on better tuning its chips with its phones, in which it has considerable reserves.

However, Samsung itself uses Qualdommu chips in its flagship models. The Galaxy S22 series is available outside of the European market, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is also present in the foldable Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4. However, already on November 8, MediaTek should present its Dimensity 9200, which is already present in the AnTuTu benchmark, in which it shows a score of 1,26 million points, which is a nice increase compared to the one million of the previous version.

Other worlds

Because it is accompanied by an ARM Immortalis-G715 MC11 graphics chip with native ray tracing support, it beats not only the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but also the A16 Bionic in the GFXBench benchmark. But even the Exynos 2200 boasted ARM graphics, also with ray tracing, and turned out tragically. First of all, it must be said that a lot depends on how individual manufacturers are able to implement the given chip. After that, it is not appropriate to compare apples with pears.

It can simply be said that Apple's chips are in their own world, while chips from other manufacturers are in another. Apple doesn't look to the right or to the left and goes its own way, because it tailors everything to its own products, which is why its operation is more tuned, smoother and less demanding. Therefore, iPhones may not have as much RAM as their Android competitors. That this is the right direction is also shown by Google with its Tensory, which also wants to have an all-in-one solution from one manufacturer similar to Apple's style, i.e. smartphone, chip and system. No one else can do anything like this at all.

According to the available rumors, Samsung is also trying to do just that, which should offer the Galaxy S24/S25 series with an already perfectly tuned Exynos chip and the appropriate Android superstructure. Therefore, if the Dimensity 9200 has to compete with someone and compare optimally with someone, it will be Snapdragon (and Exynos in the future). Both companies (as well as Samsung) are focused on the development of chips and their sales to phone manufacturers, who then use them in their solutions. And Apple certainly doesn't have to worry about this, because it simply won't give its A or M series to anyone.
