Products from the apple portfolio are certainly not aimed at gaming, i.e. gamers. So it's no surprise to find that Macs, for example, can't handle the vast majority of modern games. On the one hand, they are not optimized for the macOS system itself, and at the same time, computers do not have enough power to run them reliably. On the other hand, this does not mean that you cannot play on Macs. There are still a lot of different games available. For example, the library of exclusive titles from the Apple Arcade gaming service literally offers hours of entertainment.

It is interesting, however, that although the Cupertino giant has been developing computers in general for over 40 years, it has not yet released a single game for them. That no longer applies to such an iPhone. He has been here with us "only" since 2007, but even so, he got two "apple" games. It ranks among those Texas Hold'em (card poker game), which is still available today and even got a revival in 2019, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the App Store, in the form of better graphics. In 2019, a rather interesting game called Warren Buffett's Paper Wizard came out, which refers to the legendary and one of the most successful investors ever. But this title was pulled from the App Store after only a week, and to this day only Apple users from the United States can play it.

macOS loses

Of course, the truth is that there aren't that many iOS games that come directly from Apple. One is quite outdated and can easily be replaced by a better alternative from other developers, while we can't even try the other one here. macOS is not completely rosy either. Some users may enjoy Chess anyway. You can enjoy this game in 3D from Mac OS X version 10.2. Unfortunately, we don't have anything else available, and if we want to entertain ourselves with something, we have to reach for an offer from a competitor.

But it's still extremely important that Macs aren't gaming devices, which makes developing games for them somewhat pointless. On the other hand, it's nice to have some alternatives on hand for your own entertainment. In addition, with the arrival of Apple Silicon chips, the performance itself has increased quite noticeably, thanks to which even such a MacBook Air can handle great games today. Apparently, Apple probably realized these flaws a few years ago. In 2019, he introduced the game service Apple Arcade, which will make available to its subscribers an extensive library full of exclusive game titles for a monthly subscription. In addition, you can play them on practically all Apple products - for example, you can enjoy a game on your phone for a while and then move to your Mac, where you can continue exactly where you left off on your phone.
