The quality of the signal depends mainly on the coverage of the operator in a given location, but you have probably experienced that your friend had the same operator and, unlike you, had no problem with the signal. These tricks will tell you what to do when your iPhone is having signal problems. One simple solution would be to get signal amplifier and finish all your connection problems at once.

Restart the device

Update carrier settings

Operator settings are usually updated automatically, but this may not always be the rule. To manually update first connect your phone to the internet, go to Settings, go down to the section In general and click open Information. If you see an update here, confirm it.

Reset network settings

This procedure often helps mainly when the phone receives a signal, but some services, such as sending text messages, do not work. To restore network settings, move to Settings, click on In general and subsequently on Reset. Select from the displayed menu Reset network settings. Confirm the dialog box and wait for the process to complete. Keep in mind that this will cause you to lose all saved passwords from Wi-Fi networks and paired Bluetooth devices.

Make sure you have active roaming

If the problems are only related to situations when you are abroad, it is precisely the inactive roaming that is causing it. If you don't have a problem with the signal, but only with the data, open it Settings, unclick Mobile data and after clicking on the section Data options activate switch Data roaming. If you have no signal abroad at all, contact your carrier.

Remove the SIM card

If none of the above procedures helped you, try removing the SIM card. Check for physical damage - you can tell by the "scratched" gold parts that are worn away by pulling the SIM card in and out. If you do not see a defect on the SIM card, put it back in your phone. If the problems still cannot be solved, contact your operator and request a SIM card replacement, or solve your problems with him.
