iPads have been here with us for over ten years, during which they have taken a relatively strong position in Apple's product portfolio. These are tablets with a larger screen, on which it is considerably more pleasant to play games, watch multimedia content or browse social networks in general. It is also quite understandable. A larger screen displays more things, which has always been true in this regard.

Despite this, iPad users still lack a number of applications that we could slowly label as basic ones. That's what's terribly surprising about it. As we mentioned above, tablets are generally a great helper for browsing social networks. And that is why it is more or less incomprehensible why we haven't seen the optimization of, for example, the very well-known Instagram. It has been in the same form on iPads for several years. In order to get by with the application, one has to make a huge compromise, because the app is just stretched out and looks terrible for some.

A lot of apps are missing

But Instagram is not the only program that Apple tablet fans are still missing. The situation is exactly the same with Reddit, a popular social network focusing on practically all topics, or Aliexpress, for example. Such a story is accompanied by a number of other applications that are still not optimized for the iPad and therefore rely on the classic iOS app, which subsequently only expands. But in that case, it loses quality, looks ugly and can't usually cover the entire screen anyway. After all, that's why users have to settle for using a web browser. In short and simple, they will achieve far better results than if they had bothered with the original software.

But then here we also have one application that is not available at all for a change. We are talking about WhatsApp, of course. By the way, WhatsApp is one of the world's most used communicators, which thousands of users rely on every day. But in this particular case, there is at least some hope. The version of WhatsApp for iPad should be in development at the moment, with some Friday already being worked on. Theoretically, we can hope that we will see this favorite in a meaningful form as soon as possible.

Why don't developers optimize them?

At the end, a relatively important question is offered. Why don't developers optimize their applications for larger screens, or directly for iPads from Apple? Adam Mosseri, chief executive of Instagram, previously cited a lack of user base as the main reason. According to him, the optimization of the aforementioned Instagram is more or less "useless" and relegated to the sidelines. However, it should be noted that it has been on this side track for many years and it is not at all clear for now whether we will see any changes in the near future.
