Original iPhone games are appearing more and more often, and that's only a good thing. Another such game will be a 2D platformer called RastaMonkey. This "hop" is built on the Unity game engine and received special attention in the field of action game development and 2D design at the recent Unity Developer Awards.

If you are not familiar with Unity, the Unity engine is used by developers to make it easier to develop games for various platforms (MacOS, Windows, iPhone, but support for Wii, for example, is coming soon). This tool uses, for example, the well-known Ageai`s PhysX physics engine.

It is not yet clear when RastaMonkey for iPhone and iPod Touch will appear on the Appstore, but you can already try the demo version at Nitako website. But the Unity plugin is required to run it.
