In less than a week, the first Apple Event of this year awaits us, during which the Cupertino giant is to present several interesting novelties. The arrival of the 3rd generation iPhone SE, the 5th generation iPad Air and the high-end Mac mini are the most talked about. Of course, there are other products in the game, but the question remains whether we will actually see them. But when we look at the "list" of expected devices, a rather interesting question arises. Does introducing new products from Apple even make sense?

Professional products stand in the background

When we think about it in this way, it may occur to us that Apple is deliberately delaying some of its professional products at the expense of those that practically do not bring any changes. This specifically applies to the aforementioned iPhone SE 3rd generation. If the leaks and speculations so far are accurate, then it should be a virtually identical phone, which will only offer a more powerful chip and support for 5G networks. Such changes are relatively poor, so it is strange that the Cupertino giant wants to pay any attention to the product at all.

On the other side of the barricade are the already mentioned professional products. This applies primarily to Apple's AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, the introduction of which the giant announced only through a press release. In essence, however, these were relatively fundamental innovations with a number of interesting changes. For example, it was the AirPods Pro that moved noticeably compared to the original model, offered functions such as active noise cancellation, and were also the first earphones from Apple. The AirPods Max were similarly affected. They are specifically intended to offer professional sound to all headphone fans. Although these models brought huge changes in their segment, Apple did not pay too much attention to them.

Is this approach correct?

Whether this approach is correct or not is not for us to comment on. In the end, it actually makes sense. While the iPhone SE occupies a relatively important role in Apple's offer - a powerful phone at a significantly lower price - the aforementioned professional AirPods are, on the other hand, intended for a minority of Apple users. Most of them can get by with ordinary wireless headphones, which is why it may seem pointless to pay extra attention to these products. But that cannot be said about this iPhone. It is precisely with him that Apple needs to remind him of his capabilities and thus raise awareness of the new generation.
