The new Pebble Time smart watch already made itself known in a significant way performance at the beginning of the month, when they became the most successful Kickstarter project. The amount of 500 thousand dollars, which was determined as the minimum for the implementation of the project, Pebble Time received almost immediately, and now almost 19 million dollars have been collected for their production. In addition, there are still ten days left until the closing of pre-orders.
Sales of Pebble Time, which took a week after the introduction of the basic version they also received a more luxurious metal design, paradoxically helped by the introduction of the Apple Watch. Server TechCrunch pointed out that interest in the Pebble Time increased dramatically on the day of the Apple Watch launch and the day after.
On the Sunday before the March 9 keynote, Pebble Time was getting na Kickstarter approximately $6 per hour. On the day of the Apple Watch presentation, an average of $000 per hour was collected on Pebble Time, and on March 10, the day after the keynote, this amount even rose to $000 per hour. Eric Migicovsky, head and founder of Pebble, also responded to the increase in interest in Pebble Time. He expressed himself in the sense that the entry of the world's largest company into his market is the best indicator that his company is doing the right thing.
Eric Migicovsky's joy is justified. If smartwatches are the product in which they see Apple's future, the Pebble watches are also gaining momentum. With the introduction of the Apple Watch, public interest in the entire segment grew enormously, and the Pebble Time is a more than interesting product in its industry. As a result of the combination of these factors, the introduction of the Apple Watch doubled the interest of the Pebble Time.
I asked Eric what happened to the rate of Pebble's Kickstarter signups after the Apple Watch announcement. He said it doubled.

In addition, the latest Pebble has a number of advantages compared to Apple watches, whether it is the price or the color e-paper display with low energy requirements, which allows the watch to last a week. In addition, Pebble is not limited to the iOS operating system and has a large and lively community around it, which makes this smart watch a very capable device through a wide range of applications. Thanks to this, over a million Pebble watches have been sold to date.
It is also possible to describe it as the interest is because the product from apple is one big disappointment. I judge for myself.
yes :o)
Agreed… Apple watch with 18 hour battery life is an incredible fail…
Wow, you already have them? And at what workload will it last you 18 hours? Yeah, you're kidding.. :-(
Like every one that has been announced so far (except the original iPhone). And anyway, in a while everyone will have them on their hands. Maybe you too.. ;-)
I didn't like Pebble one bit. Whereas Pebble Time is different. You look very nice, the stamina is amazing. The controls etc. look good too. And the price? ..well I have nothing to add.
I'd almost say it's a duck. Comparing the Watch to this dummy smartwatch is like comparing iOS 8.X to Symbian. Yes, they both light up and you can call from both (or they show you the time), but that's about it. As for the price, it's not a product defect, for God's sake. PS – I'll have to save for a while too. Hello to everybody
