Let's face it, today's world can be incredibly stressful. When the pandemic of a contagious virus is added to the usual worries, each of us sometimes needs to jump to relax in virtual worlds. There, in addition to destroying our enemies, we sometimes want to comfortably settle into comfortable stories with a happy ending. Perhaps something like that awaits you in one of the two games in the Half Past Fate series.

The first installment, simply titled Half Past Fate, came out early last year and captivated gaming critics with its positive approach to its subject matter and laid-back atmosphere. The first game tells the story of three couples who are located in space and time during the period from eight hours to eight years. Using jumps in time, you will get to know the stories of six people who met under fateful circumstances. The developers compare the game to a romantic comedy. They set the undemanding genre in a beautiful environment that combines three-dimensional models with two-dimensional pixel art silhouettes of characters. Together with relaxing music and an undemanding theme full of humor, the game is able to warm the heart.

The second part of the series was released only recently and takes on a completely different form at first glance. Half Past Date: Romantic Distancing strikes a poignantly contemporary chord. A newly-acquainted couple finds themselves in a situation where they can only communicate remotely. The game thus tells the story of whether their connection will stand the test of distance, or whether their relationship will fizzle out in a difficult situation. The sequel is also set in the same magical settings as the first part. Moreover, you can get it for a more than attractive price. The developers at Serenity Forge definitely deserve your support.
