In the last part of our series on native Apple applications, we introduced the absolute basics of working with the Safari browser on the Mac. Safari also offers features for payments on the web - both through Apple Pay and through conventional methods. In today's part of the series, we will take a closer look at paying in Safari.

If you have activated the Apple Pay payment service, you can also use it easily and conveniently in the Safari browser environment. On newer Macs with Touch ID, you can confirm your payments directly on the computer with your fingerprint, on others you can complete the purchase on an iPhone with iOS 10 and later or on an Apple Watch - as long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID on all devices. To set up Apple Pay on your Mac with Touch ID, click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the screen -> System Preferences -> Wallet and Apple Pay. If you don't have a Mac with Touch ID and want to use Apple Pay on your iPhone, go to Settings -> Wallet and Apple Pay on your iPhone, and at the very bottom confirm the Allow payments on Mac option. In this case, payments via Apple Pay on Mac will be confirmed using an iPhone or Apple Watch.

However, you can also pay with payment cards in the usual way in the Safari browser. When paying repeatedly, you will certainly find the automatic filling function useful, which can be used not only for payment cards, but also when filling in contact details and other data. To add or remove a saved payment card, launch Safari and click Safari -> Preferences on the toolbar at the top of the screen. Here, select Filling, click on Payment cards and choose Edit.
