In 2017, Apple managed to charm the world. It was the introduction of the iPhone X, which boasted a new design and for the first time offered Face ID, or a system for biometric authentication through a 3D facial scan. The entire system, together with the front camera, is hidden in the upper cutout. It takes up a significant part of the screen, which is why Apple is receiving an increasing wave of criticism. Since the mentioned year 2017, we have not seen any changes. That should change with the iPhone 13 anyway.

iPhone 13 Pro Max mockup

Although we are still several months away from the introduction of this year's generation, we already know several expected novelties, among which is the reduction of the notch. A new video has surfaced on Unbox Therapy's YouTube channel, where Lewis Hilsenteger focuses on a cool iPhone 13 Pro Max mockup. It gives us an early preview of what the phone's design could look like. Mockups are commonly used even before the phone is introduced, for the needs of accessory manufacturers. However, we must add that this piece arrived unusually early. Despite this, it matches all the leaked/predicted information so far. At first glance, the mockup looks similar to the iPhone 12 Pro Max in terms of design. But when we look closer, we see several differences.

In particular, the top cutout will see a reduction, where it should finally not take up almost the entire width of the screen and should be slimmed down in general. At the same time, the handset will be redesigned because of this. This will move from the middle of the notch to the top edge of the phone. If we look at the mockup from the back, we can see at first glance the difference in the individual lenses, which are significantly larger than in the case of last year's iPhone. Some sources indicate that the increase could be due to the implementation of sensor-shift, which is already present in the model 12 Pro Max, specifically in the case of a wide-angle lens, and ensures perfect image stabilization. At the same time, everything is protected by a sensor that can take care of up to 5 movements per second and perfectly compensate for hand tremors. This element should also target the ultra-wide-angle lens.

Of course, we have to take the model with a grain of salt. As we mentioned above, we are still a few months away from the presentation itself, so it is possible that the iPhone 13 will actually look a little different. We will therefore have to wait for some Friday for more detailed information.
