The popular dictatorship simulation is headed to the iPad - Tropico will arrive later this year

Do you like building strategies but nothing available on iOS feels good and comprehensive enough? After the Total War series, which is quite successful on iPads, here comes another (slightly less) popular series of building strategies from PC. It is a simulation of a dictatorial regime and everything that goes with it - Tropico.

The arrival of the popular building strategy for iPads was announced by the developers from Feral Interactive, who are also behind the iPad port of Rome Total War. The trailer, which you can watch below, features several images from the game along with a release date that is slated for "later this year." According to the graphics, it looks like it will be a port of the third part, which was released on PC in 2009 and on macOS in 2012.

If you've never heard of the series, it's a classic building strategy where you take on the role of a Central American dictator who rules a small island somewhere in the Caribbean. Your task is to take care of the growth and expansion of the city, watch over the economic and social aspects. Strengthen the infrastructure, gradually improve the economic capabilities of the country, etc. Given the form of government, you also logically care about how (well) the inhabitants perceive you, and if they have reserves in this regard, you have the opportunity to educate them a little... The game is not afraid of humor and for the most part is built from it and exaggeration.

According to the developers at Feral Interactive, this is a full port that they have been working on for many months. The game will be redesigned from the ground up so that it works perfectly on the iPad without the slightest problem (after the experience with Rome Total War, I fully trust the developers). It will be a classic format game that will be charged a fixed amount, but for which you will get all the content. You won't find any microtransactions or anything like that here. We will have to wait for more information regarding this title for now.
