It wasn't the first time that Apple opened its keynote with a video. However, this year's WWDC developer conference featured perhaps the craziest opening we've seen from the Californian company so far: a four-and-a-half-minute long film called "WWDC Practice, Yesterday Afternoon," starring Bill Hader as director.

In behind-the-scenes skits, Bill Hader, who previously appeared in Saturday Night Live, played director David LeGary and prepared the entire show, which was to open the keynote at WWDC.

Throughout the mini-movie, there were many references to various apps and other popular tech gadgets, as well as the popular movie Birdman. The applications Monument Valley, Angry Birds, Tinder, Crossy Road, Evernote or even Goat Simulator came into the limelight. Danny Pudi from the series rapped the song in the video Community.

Apple finally introduced a new OS X El Capitan, iOS 9, Watch 2 and a new music streaming service Apple Music.

If you would like to quickly recall how the introduction of these novelties took place, magazine Cult of Mac prepared a two and a half minute long montage of the most important part of the entire keynote.
