Many iPhone users miss the opportunity to listen to the radio - although Pocket Tunes won't catch analog broadcasts, it's more than enough if you're connected to the Internet. Then all you have to do is launch the application, select a station and enjoy the crystal clear sound that Pocket Tunes serves you.
You have at your disposal a frequently updated online list of stations divided into groups according to genres or according to the countries in which the given radio plays. Listening to foreign radio stations is a matter of course. The Czech Republic is not missing from the list, which will certainly please you - you have a list containing almost all available streams of Czech radios within reach with a few taps of your finger. The search is also very well resolved - you can search in the selected list (specifically, e.g. in the list of Czech radio stations), search in the entire online database or use an excellent function, thanks to which the application will show you all interesting radio stations according to your current location. You can then apply a genre filter to the entire search result.
I mustn't forget the option to add radios to favorites, which means you'll have your most popular radios under one tab. While listening, you can also browse the web thanks to the integrated browser, which, among other things, can also recognize a website with streaming content. So if you are on the go and finding the URL address of a specific stream would be very inconvenient, just go to the radio's website and start online playback. You can also easily add a stream you found to your favorites this way.
The application also has no problem displaying information about the currently playing song, or you can purchase the song directly from the iTunes Store. Unfortunately, after really long-term use, I did not come across any Czech radio that would be compatible with this function.
It is very pleasing to be able to switch the transmission speed of the stream being played from the list of speeds that the stream supports. Thanks to this, you can listen to the radio without any problems even on the go, where you don't have Wi-Fi or at least 3G.

I used PocketTunes for years to my full satisfaction on the Palm, but on the iPod I really liked Internet RadioBox for €0.79, it can also do wma streams, which is useful for cz radios, it tries to "rip" the stream directly from the radio website, it can even do those streams , which can use its hw to play an iPod in the background (so not wma, but it works with mp3 and aac streams).
And most importantly, it has "sleep" so it can be played before bed without playing all night.
What bothers me a lot about PocketTunes is that it doesn't have a trial/lite version to try for that price.

I'd like to try it too, but it's quite expensive. I've already tried more for listening to the radio, at the moment I see FStream and SHOUTcast, but basically I only use PLAY.CZ sometimes, which is a nice application for listening to Czech radio stations. I recommend you try it, it's free.
Otherwise, regarding the quality of the streams (or rather the ability of applications to work or offer different streams) - I usually only got to listen to the radio outside of wifi or 3G, so I simply couldn't solve it. But yes, I've already tried better quality with the two named applications on Wi-Fi and it wasn't bad. And they're free too.
