The release of the final version of iOS 8 to the public is approaching, Apple will make it available tomorrow, and along with the new mobile operating system will come many new applications. The developers of the Pocket application have announced that the Extensions option in the new system will make it even easier and faster to add articles to the popular reader.

Pocket in version 5.6 will offer users to save articles for later reading directly from their favorite apps, not just those that support Pocket. All you have to do is activate the sharing button, which will then appear every time you open the sharing menu. There is no need to copy a link in Safari and then open Pocket and add the article manually. In addition, it will be possible to save directly to Pocket and from various applications of specific magazines.

If you use the new sharing button to save articles, it will be possible to add tags to the article directly during the saving process for easier organization.

In the new version, the Pocket reader will also support the Handoff function, thanks to which it is easy to transfer the current content from the iOS application to the Mac and vice versa. So if you read the article on a Mac, you can very easily transfer to the iPad or iPhone in the same position if you need to leave the computer.

Pocket 5.6 will be released alongside iOS 8 on September 17.
