Everyone surely remembers the years spent in the school desks or even still attending some school and it does not matter if it is primary, secondary or college. In the same way, we have all encountered math classes. For some, mathematics ended at secondary school or gymnasium, and selected individuals, depending on the field, continued with it at university. In any case, when concepts such as the area of a square, the volume of a sphere, the Pythagorean theorem or the trinomial are mentioned, we all roughly know what it is about, but calculating all the data correctly is another matter.

The Czech application Mathematical Formulae (Formulae) can work with all the listed and many other mathematical operations. The application itself is very intuitive, clear and you can find your way around it without any problems. After starting, you will see a clear menu divided into three parts - Perimeter and content, Volume and surface and Others. In the first part you will find calculations for a square, rectangle, circle, triangle and many other shapes. In section Volume and surface area are different solids, i.e. cube, cuboid, cylinder, sphere, cone of rotation and pyramid. In the last part called Other you can have the Pythagorean theorem, trinomials, percentages and trigonometric functions calculated.

After clicking on one of the solids, you will usually receive the following information: when you select a cube, its graphic model, brief characteristics, individual formulas and, above all, empty fields for various calculations will be displayed. By entering the size of the individual sides, the Mathematical Formulae application immediately calculates the volume, surface or wall and body diagonal. It always depends on what values I need to calculate. Just enter the solid diagonal of the cube and you will get the side, wall diagonal, volume and surface area. For example, with a cuboid, you will of course need to know more than just the dimension of one side.

In the section Onational you will find almost the same options as for solids and geometric shapes. All you have to do is put in the values you know and the application will calculate everything for you. For the Pythagorean theorem, you need to enter either the value of the two tangents in order to calculate the hypotenuse, or to know the size of one of the tangents and the hypotenuse. For trigonometric functions, you can choose whether you want to calculate in degrees or radians. The trinomial, on the other hand, knows direct and indirect proportionality. Mathematical Formulae will also calculate how much is X % of the total i what % is the number X of the whole. It is then up to everyone whether an ordinary calculator is sufficient for such an operation.

A big advantage of Mathematical Formulae for the Czech user is the Czech localization. All mathematical terms and explanations are thus maximally comprehensible and easy to understand. There are many similar applications for calculating various mathematical functions and values in the App Store, but the presence of the Czech language can be essential for a Czech user in this field. Mathematical Formulae does not offer any dazzling and sophisticated design, but it at least roughly matches the application with the latest iOS, and what is more important is that it reliably calculates the necessary values. It can be downloaded from the App Store for 1,79 euros.
