When Apple launched its own video streaming platform  TV+ in November 2019, it gave its users a rather tempting offer. For the purchase of the hardware, you received a one-year subscription completely free of charge as a so-called trial version. This "free year" has already been extended twice by the Cupertino giant, for a total of 9 more months. But that should change very soon. Apple is changing the rules, and from July, when you buy a new device, you will no longer get a one-year subscription, but only a three-month subscription.

Remember the beginnings of  TV+

This information appeared on the official website of the  TV+ platform. In addition, if we take the original year when Apple users watched the content for free and add another 9 months to it, we find that these users will have their subscriptions expire at the beginning of the aforementioned July. At the same time, we must not forget to point out that if you have already activated this trial version in the past, you are not entitled to it again. In any case, with this change, Apple will unify the free offer together with the Apple Arcade service, which is used to play unique games on various Apple devices. But what exactly does this change mean?

The entire  TV+ platform is slowly growing and should offer 80 original series and movies by the end of this year. Some of them are already enjoying huge popularity and success, especially series like Ted Lasso and The Morning Show. But changing the trial period will finally show whether people are really interested in the service. Analysts estimate that this platform can currently boast 30 to 40 million subscribers. But the vast majority of them don't actually pay anything and watch the content for free. Whether the given number will drop rapidly, or whether Apple will keep its people, is unclear for the time being. In any case, the service will cost 139 crowns per month, possibly as part of the Apple One package.
