We just won't get Nintendo games on iOS, and if we simply don't want to do without Mario, Link z Legend of Zelda, Pokemon and others, we are left with two options - either get a dedicated game console from a Japanese company, or settle for emulators. These are nothing new on iOS, but until now they were only accessible through Cydia for jailbroken devices, sometimes some developers managed to get the emulator into the App Store, often in a hidden form.

However, a second version of the emulator was released quite recently GBA4iOS, which did not require a jailbreak and used a corporate application distribution profile. We were able to play games from Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Color on our iPhones and iPads. Earlier this week, a new NDS4iOS emulator appeared, this time it can emulate games from the Nintendo DS handheld.

Similar to GBA4iOS, there is only one catch. For installation and occasionally for startup, the system date needs to be changed to be older than February 8th. After that, you can of course change the date back at any time. Games (ROMS) can be downloaded to the emulator either via iTunes or Dropbox. The application allows control both with the help of virtual buttons and the lower touch screen, and with physical game controllers for iOS, of which there are currently several on the market. Otherwise, decent framerate and functional sound can be achieved with the emulator.

But keep in mind that downloading games you don't own is piracy (even if you do own them, you're still in the gray area) and Jablíčkář.cz does not support downloading pirated games in any way. You can find NDS4iOS at developer sites.
