From time to time I meet iPhone or iPad users who belong to the so-called older generation and have different habits. They don't use cloud services, have a desktop PC at home and trust traditional flash drives. They then recently purchased an iPhone in the smallest capacity, i.e. 16 GB or 32 GB, and they want to easily and conveniently transfer movies, music, photos or various documents from the computer to the iPhone. They also want to quickly and easily expand the capacity of their equipment. In such a case, K'ablekey from PKparis can be an ideal helper.
Personally, this smart flash drive with a Lightning connector on one side and a standard USB 3.0 on the other has become a great accessory for me while traveling by train. I have recorded movies on a floppy disk, because even though I pay for the Netflix streaming service, it sometimes happens that I forget to download a movie offline. I'm not online all the time - especially on the train. That's why K'ablekey comes along.
Just connect it to your iPhone/iPad, allow access and download the free app from the App Store PK memory. It works not only as an intuitive file manager, but also as a player for audio and video files of various formats. PK memory allows copying individual files and entire groups to K'ablekey, creating folders or playlists and transferring files between them. In addition, it allows to protect the entire content stored on K'ablekey or only selected parts of it with a password.
Speed and support for many formats
There really aren't too many media files and formats you can't open with K'ablekey:
- Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, WMV, AVI (subtitle support is in preparation).
- Photo: JPG, PNG, BMP, RAW, NEF, TIF, TIFF, CR2, ICO.
- Music: AAC, AIF, AIFF, MP3, WAV, VMA, OGG, MPA, FLAC, AC3.
- Documents: iWork + DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLS, PPT, PPTX, TXT, PDF, HTML, RTF.
K'ablekey is also no snail and you can count on USB 3.0 with a write speed of up to 120 MB/s and a read speed of 20 MB/s. Of course, the most interesting thing about the product from PKpars is its design: I like the durable protective packaging and magnetic closures. You can easily attach K'ablekey to your PC, Mac or iOS device. You can put the magnetic closure on the back of the device so you don't lose it. If you use thicker protective packaging, you will find a small metal plate in the package. You stick this to the packaging and the magnetic closure also attaches to it.
You can choose from three capacities, namely 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. K'ablekey can also be used as a charging and syncing cable between your iOS device and computer. You can even connect the USB connector to the power bank and you don't have to carry around another cable on the go.

The icing on the cake are high-quality materials resistant not only to mechanical damage, but also to water. You can attach K'ablekey to your keys or any other carabiner and don't have to worry about anything else. However, K'ablekey is definitely not intended for all users. Most of the functions are handled by cloud storage without any problems, as long as you are connected to the Internet. However, those who like their data on disk and liked the solution and design of K'ablekey can use it buy from 1 crowns for 799 GB for example at EasyStore.cz.
These flash drives are a nice thing - not everything is connected to the cloud somewhere. I would be interested in one little thing. If I take any file with an accent in the name on the iPad (iPhone), for example, I create a file cv.pages in Pages, save it to this flash drive and then connect it to the Mac - will I see the file there? Can you verify this? Flash drives from other manufacturers have a problem with this - you won't see such a file there on a Mac.
I think he's the same as everyone else - he can't handle this trivial thing. If you receive something like an invitation.pdf in your email, you save it to the flash drive on your iPhone, so you simply won't see it there on your Mac. It's really poor for the money. And no one here will try it for you, because no one will buy it.
Well, if this was a review, I might find out, but it seems more like a commissioned article, so the mention of how it became a great accessory for him while traveling by train is bullshit. No own photo, not much own experience from long-term use, just an advertising article that tells us practically nothing.
Hello, I plan to reply to you and try the activity you describe, but I haven't had time yet. I am sorry. In any case, I didn't think of solving this in practice, so I'm curious myself if it will work.
That would be great, thanks.
Hello, you were right. Unfortunately, it cannot do this, so to be more precise, if you upload a Word or Pages file from a PC/Mac to a PKParis flash drive, you can open it on an iOS device without any problems and you can work, it is not possible the other way around.
Damage. Once again we come across an incompatible Apple system with the outside world. Apple claims that the error is in the file system format - FAT. And that it is Microsoft's system and Apple will not deal with it, because it makes the best products in the world and is not to blame for the fact that the others are not fully compatible with them. This is how an English-speaking person from a higher level of Apple support explained it to me. :-(
