Pixelmator Photo has received an update that takes advantage of some of the new features in the iPadOS operating system. The update brings, for example, enrichment with tools for batch photo editing, the ability to import images directly from the camera or external storage, and other news.

Users who have already downloaded Pixelmator Photo in the past will understandably have the news available through a free update, new users will get Pixelmator Photo for iPad in the App Store for 129 crowns. Among other things, the update brings, for example, a significant simplification of working with files, which users can now open and save directly in the photo library without the need to create duplicates. As we mentioned in the introduction, the latest version of Pixelmator Photo allows you to directly import photos from external storage, the native Files app or the camera, as well as the ability to apply uniform changes and customizations to up to hundreds of images at once.

Batch editing brings with it advantages in the form of significant savings in time and work, but also the possibility of creating specific settings and color filters for photos from one particular photo shoot. Any combination of customizations can be applied in batch to a selected group of photos in the app.

For batch adjustments, Pixelmator Photo uses machine learning tools like ML Enhance or ML Crop, after batch adjustments, adjustments can also be completed manually. Batch workflows can be saved in the application for later reuse.

The new version of Pixelmator Photo also includes a redesigned export panel with options for file format and photo dimensions. During the export process, users have the option to change the scale of the default image and immediately see how these changes affect the final file size.
