As part of editorial testing, I got my hands on the Phillips Fidelio DS9000. Docking speaker station for iPhone and iPod Touch. And I have to say at the outset that I was completely blown away.
Fidelio is a very good product in terms of design. The front side is covered with a fine textile fabric and the back side imitates a wooden surface. Of course, there is also a docking connector, in which the iPhone or iPod Touch fits beautifully and holds thanks to the support in the upper part. There are essentially no controls on the Fidelio, just volume buttons. Otherwise, you control the device either directly from the iPhone or using the remote control. Thanks to the remote control, you can comfortably change the volume, skip songs, but also move through albums and artists, which I found to be a very handy solution. Another excellent feature is the possibility of connecting a music source via the classic 3,5 jack connector. You can use this option if you have a visitor and wants to play your favorite song from your own device.
The sound itself is absolutely stunning. When I first played the song I couldn't believe I was playing it from an iPhone. I couldn't get enough of the quality sound. I have never heard a better system that also uses MP3 as a source. I wouldn't say anything about the sound. It doesn't resonate unnecessarily anywhere, it doesn't hum, and all the sound parameters you expect are simply there. The only thing that slightly bothered me was the greater level of bass than I would have imagined, but thanks to the application directly from Philips, which contains its own equalizer, I easily solved this deficiency.
I would definitely recommend the Fidelio DS9000 to people who expect great sound enjoyment, but at the same time want to have their music only in one place. This docking station has a nice design and very good sound. I would say that it is primarily intended for larger rooms and houses. Ideally, I can imagine Fidelio in a large living room or hall. It can beautifully sound a large space and, moreover, does not catch the eye in any way.
Despite the relatively high price, approx. 11 CZK, I can recommend the Fidelio DS000 without reservation.
Soon there will be a more expensive version on the market, but with AirPlay!

go to the big room. download satellites, I want to help people without hearing (hearing) who have an honest wooden speaker in the hall at home:*
Hi Ondro :) I apologize for my harsh opinion. I can't get rid of the feeling that the review is written to order, or just out of boredom... Because if it is to order, then you haven't done much advertising for the person in question.. Unfortunately, the slightest invention is missing, no comparison with another product, no photos.. It's just as if you he wanted to shout out to the world that your parents bought a toy and this product is simply the BEST!!!...(don't take it personally, it's just a comparison)...I don't understand how the editors could even release such an article to the world. Please try to get an editor-in-chief. Why does jablíčkář.cz not grow with time, instead of slowly improving the quality of your posts and articles, you let out desperate cries and barks. Ondro, contempt is also part of creation. Download this article and rewrite it with love, with the feeling that you want to convey something to the readers. If you feel this is a good piece of work done, at least see what a real review (editorial test) should look like…

PS: I don't want to unleash any FLAME. It's just a subjective opinion.
I just casually glanced at it and unfortunately I have to agree. I'm not going to comment on it so that no one takes my word for it.
When the applecart started, it looked quite different. I'm not saying it can't be developed, but I don't think it's going in the right direction. In any case, I enjoy reading most of the article and appreciate a job well done.
This is a really cheap review... you should listen to a BOSE dock or ZEPPELIN and then don't write such shit about this philips!
I have heard a lot of similar products, but to call it an audio fairy tale seems laughable to me. Only proper speaker cables cost more than this box, I'm not even talking about the speakers themselves :-)
To Dan: Only a fool will pay as much for the cables as you have in mind - the resulting effect is minimal compared to normal copper cables with a suitable cross-section (we did a test for fun - blindfold and run the same thing through thousands of cables and a thick double line). A decent older amplifier weighing around 20kg (2x100W and more) can be bought for around CZK 4000, boxes are different. I bought crates a few years ago from a do-it-yourselfer who knows his craft, and together with Aura, they played all the crates up to CZK 1500 in the studio with a zesik for CZK 20 and discarded the crates I bought for a lot of money. If one does not know what to do with money in Hi-fi, it will drown them all. But you can approach it with common sense and it plays nicely for about 000 CZK. In my case, old jazz recordings will not improve anything at all... and I tried sets at a friend's house in Belgium for a quarter of a megabyte or more... listeners also differ between those who listen to notes and rhythms and then those who are only interested in sound.
