Whatever reason Safari on your iPhone doesn't suit you, Perfect Web Browser from the AppStore is one alternative that might interest you. It is literally filled to the brim with features, but nothing is as it seems.

It may be unusual, but I thought it would be a good idea to be the first to list the disadvantages of Safari itself that you may not even be aware of. Perfect Web Browser is an application offered on the AppStore, which means that according to the rules it cannot run in the background - but Safari can, so Safari starts much faster. Furthermore, a rather essential part is missing - the whisperer of already visited pages or already searched terms - horror.

I also find the application environment very sloppy. Not only does the statusbar, for example, not work as a scroll all the way up, but the environment reminds me of Windows Mobile in everything - titer colorful controls, which are also badly placed (so it is not only difficult to touch them, but also looks very ugly). There are a few other little things that I don't really understand, like why the app settings are under the plus button or why the history and home page are under the star. But these are unimportant things, you can get used to it. So what are the benefits?

Real bookmarks
Perfect Web Browser has bookmarks like you are used to on a computer. I don't know who will find this method on the iPhone more convenient than switching between pages that we know from Safari, certainly not me, but it is one of the main advantages mentioned. In addition, the panel with bookmarks looks disastrous, it is probably the most sloppy part of the entire application. The only plus in this area is the fact that you can have an unlimited number of pages open at the same time, unlike Safari, where you can have only 8 bookmarks.

Full screen viewing
This is a pretty cool feature. With a single tap, you can view the page stretched to full screen.

Flip lock
Another feature that I welcome most of all is the ability to lock the screen flip state, which for me means I can comfortably lie in bed on my side and browse the internet.

Search on the page
In Perfect Web Browser, you have the option to search for text on the page - but even in the case of this application, the search is not complete, you cannot switch between individual searched words, they are only highlighted. Search at this level also exists as a javascript tab for Safari. I would venture to speculate that search works on this exact principle in the case of Perfect Browser as well.

Private browsing
The recording of the history of visited pages can be turned off in Perfect Browser. So it could be considered a kind of private web browsing option.

Hyper Scroll
After activating this feature, a fairly large panel with a slider will appear on the right. It's supposed to make it easier to move around the larger page, but since the slider sometimes cuts out and sometimes doesn't even work, it's pretty unusable, and it really gets in the way of the slider.

Web compression
For slower connections, the application offers web compression, which takes place via Google Mobilizer. It's unusable for me, but someone may be used to it and welcome the option.

vBulletin support
The application supports posting / responding to forums running under vBulletin. It's a shame that phpBB isn't supported, but maybe we'll see it in the next update.

The browser has a good foundation and certainly comes with good intentions, but there are far more features that need a lot of tweaking than features that I really appreciate. I'm definitely sticking with Safari.
