It appeared on the Appstore in total controversial game, with which I was waiting to see how Apple behaves. Violence appears in the game, for example you can run over the characters with a car (or shoot them) and all this is complemented by the effect of blood splattering everywhere in the surroundings. Until now, I wasn't sure how Apple handles games like this. Apple game recommended for ages 12+ and added important notices about what "bad" elements you might encounter in the game, but released the game on the Appstore.

Payback has never hidden his inspired by the Grand Theft Auto game series, especially his first two parts – in these parts you looked down on your hero. You could say that Payback looks like an absolute copy except for the difference that this time everything is in a 3D environment, which in my opinion is rather a detriment. The first parts of GTA appealed to me precisely with their "cute" graphics, and this environment doesn't suit me that much. In addition, due to hardware limitations, 3D objects cannot be so detailed.

I don't mean to say that Payback is somehow ugly.. The author tried get the most out of your iPhone, uses HDR lighting and the work of light and shadow is perfect. It just seems to me that this is not what would attract me the most about the game. The game also has a complete soundtrack, but I found it rather bland.

The game is controlled by a combination of accelerometer and touch screen. You control the direction with the accelerometer, and on the right of the screen there are buttons for walking (driving) forward and backward. There are two more buttons on the left, which offer, for example, shooting, stealing a car or honking. Although the controls are certainly not screwed up badly, it does not replace my favorite GTA series keyboard controls. But what is a big plus is the calibration of the accelerometer at startup - I applaud!

The game offers 11 cities, many types of vehicles, a wide range of weapons and three game modes. For example, in the story mode you have to get as much money as possible to move to the next city, or in the Rampage mode you can just drive around the city and make a clearing.

Although Payback isn't a bad game and it certainly is very interesting activity on the iPhone, so I wasn't too excited. When two do the same thing, it's not always the same thing. It is definitely a copy of GTA, but the perfect gameplay could not be copied. In addition, I would probably appreciate a higher framerate when driving faster in a car. If you really don't want a game like this, then I think it's pointless to spend $6.99.
