For example, a few years ago, small fans, which just had to be connected to a smart phone, received unprecedented attention, which immediately spun and were supposed to cool the user. About three years ago, we could meet this interesting accessory practically everywhere - whether outside, in the circle of friends, or perhaps on the Internet. Of course, at first glance it looks like a rather brilliant idea. We always have our phone with us, so why not use it for our own comfort?

However, its real use is already zero. But there is nothing so bad about it, and something like that can practically be counted on. However, it is worse in terms of security. As it turns out, these fans and similar products can even destroy the charging connector.
Risk of damage to the connector
As we mentioned above, accessories of this type pose a much greater risk. Of course, this is not a certified MFi (Made for iPhone) accessory approved by Apple, and there is a reason for that. These fans draw significantly more current from the phone than what the phone is designed for, or what it could handle. While the fan will initially function normally and flawlessly, there is a relatively high chance that after a while of use, the electrical circuit that ensures the correct functionality of the power connector will burn out. So using it is quite a gamble.
In addition, this does not only apply to the mentioned fans. We would find many more similar accessories. Razors, for example, also received a lot of attention. Although this sounds bizarre in itself, their idea is clear - just plug them into the power connector and then you can shave. Even this bit from the iPhone draws significantly more current and can therefore reliably destroy the same electrical circuit. Regardless of the fact that the effectiveness itself is zero in this case. Practically, one is related to the other. Since the phone is not able to give the shaver enough energy, it does not work as you would expect it to, which results in one thing – that the product is completely useless and cannot shave anything at all.

Now in the summer you can meet similar accessories at every step. But as we mentioned before, keep in mind that such accessories can completely destroy the power connector on your iPhone. Moreover, their effectiveness is absolutely zero. So, if you are looking for a way to really cool down in the summer, you should bet on proven methods.
