The so-called control center plays a key role in Apple's operating systems. In the case of iPhones, we can open it by swiping from top to bottom in the upper right part of the display, or in models with Touch ID, by dragging from the bottom upwards. As such, Control Center is extremely important not only for managing certain functions and options, but also from the point of view of making everyday use more pleasant. In short, it could be said that thanks to him we don't have to go to Settings. We can solve the most important matters directly from here.

Specifically, here we find options for connectivity settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data, airplane mode, AirDrop or personal hotspot, control of multimedia playback, device volume or display brightness, and many others. The best part is that every apple user can customize other elements within the control center according to what they use most often, or what they need to have at hand. That's why you'll normally find auto-rotation lock, mirroring options, focus modes, flashlight, low-power mode activation, screen recording, and much more. Even so, we would find a fundamental room for improvement.

How could the control center be improved?

Now let's move on to the main thing. As we mentioned above, the control center is a rather handy helper that can significantly simplify the daily use of the device for apple growers. They can make quick settings through the center and solve everything in a matter of seconds. However, as the users themselves point out on the discussion forums, the control center could be improved quite interestingly by opening it up and making it available to developers. They could thus prepare a quick control element for their application, which could subsequently be located next to the already mentioned buttons intended for example for activating the low power mode, recording the screen, activating the flashlight and the like.

In the end, however, it wouldn't have to be just about applications. This whole concept can be taken a few steps further. The truth is that application controls might not be the most suitable solution and only a few developers would find their use. Therefore, users are more inclined to deploy Shortcuts or widgets, which are relatively close to the control center itself and can thus make the use of the Apple device even more pleasant.

Will we ever see it?

The final question, however, is whether we will ever see something like this. In the current situation, Apple blocks the deployment of any elements in the control center, which makes it a more or less unrealistic idea. However, with some jailbreaks, this idea is feasible. It clearly follows from this that the deployment of shortcuts, widgets or own control elements is not actually prevented by anything other than a simple rule of the apple company. How do you view this situation? Would you welcome the opening of the control center together with the possibility to place the mentioned elements here, or are you satisfied with the current form?
