Apple revealed new information regarding the opening of brick-and-mortar stores. The Cupertino company currently estimates that Apple Story could open in the first half of April. Apple has closed a total of 467 stores worldwide. The only exception is China, where shops are already operating normally because they have got the coronavirus pandemic under control in China.

Already on Monday, there was speculation that Apple stores would open in mid-April for the first time. The Cult of Mac server cited an unnamed employee. Bloomberg later obtained an email to employees from Deird O'Brien, who has been senior vice president of retail and human resources since last year. In it, it was confirmed that Apple now expects to open the Store in mid-April.

"We will gradually reopen all our stores outside of China. At this time, we expect some stores to open in the first half of April. But it will depend on the current conditions in the area. We will provide new information for each store separately as soon as we know the exact dates.” it says in an email to employees.

The head of Apple already announced on March 14 the closure of Apple Stores worldwide due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, he confirmed that Apple Store employees will receive a classic salary, as if they were working normally. In conclusion, Deirda O'Brien mentioned that the company will continue to work from home until at least April 5. After that, Apple will see how the situation is in individual countries and adjust the work accordingly.
