Jan Zdarsa Another board game based game has appeared on the Appstore. This time it is a very well-known game Settlers of Catan. According to this board game, there was already a Colonist game on the Appstore, but it was the official Catan game that pushed it out of the Appstore.
The Settlers of Catan are known around the world. This board game was invented by Klaus Teuber 13 years ago and since then it has won various exceptional awards. You can now try Osadníky also on iPhone or iPod Touch.
The iPhone version was built according to the original Settlers of Catan rules without compromise. You can play Settlers with up to 4 people, but many people will be disappointed that there is no online multiplayer. Unfortunately, there is only hot-seat mode, where you hand over the iPhone after each lap.
Catan also offers smart computer teammates who can have different strategies, so it shouldn't happen that after a few games you get to see how the computer plays and get bored. And if you don't know Settlers at all, the game also has an excellent tutorial, thanks to which you will quickly understand the whole principle of the game.
Unfortunately (and of course) Catan is not sold in Czech. Settlers is definitely a strategy game, although randomness plays a fairly significant role here (personally, I prefer board games with less of a random factor). It is also certainly a shame that the multiplayer is incomplete, but even so it is an excellent title that I can recommend.

Settlers is based on trading between players, I can't really imagine how this works on a PC game. After all, not even in hot-seat mode. Does anyone have experience with this?
