Apple is a master of design. Well, it is true that there are various details here and there that are not completely fine-tuned, but otherwise, not only customers but also many companies look up to its appearance factor. It is this that gives Apple considerable courage that no one else has - it can easily come up with an additional stand for its display.

And it's not the first time, one would like to add. Already when Apple introduced the Pro Display XDR, we could purchase a so-called Pro Stand for it for CZK 28. What makes it stand out? Height, tilt, rotation - everything is adjustable. It is stable and does not take up much space. Easy to rotate in both landscape and portrait, it is perfectly suited for any job. So it actually works pretty much like any other stand, until you find two differences when comparing closely.

The first is in the small positioning options, because it certainly does not provide such a spread, as various pivots and arms. The second is, of course, the design, which is simply first-class and nobody can match it. But do you really want that for the money? Maybe not you, but there are certainly a few of them, so Apple expanded this idea with another product, namely the Studio Display with a stand with adjustable tilt and height. Its price is already more popular, namely 12 thousand CZK. But the design and options are also more modest.

VESA is the solution

For a normal mortal, these are really ridiculous prices to pay for a mere display stand, which of course also costs something. At the same time, Apple itself gives us a direct way out, in the case of the VESA mount adapter. In the case of Studio Display, it costs the same as the basic stand with adjustable tilt, i.e. Apple does not discount anything from the purchase price, but you can buy any solution for a few crowns. And that there are really a lot of them.

VESA is a standard that makes it easier for the customer to orient himself when buying a holder for either a TV or a display that he wants to place on a wall or even a work desk. This is because it unifies the spacing of the fixing holes. And many such holders, which are available in many designs, either in the form of pivots or truly universal arms that you can rotate, tilt, etc., usually cost around a thousand crowns. You can choose from many solutions from many manufacturers.

Of course, you can also get a higher price, which is around CZK 20. But the difference here is that such a holder is positioned electrically, so it is after all a slightly different technology than the one offered by Apple in its holders. Yes, they are nice, and they are his, but do they really have to cost that much?
