If you were quick this morning and snagged the new iPhone X in one of the first batches, you're probably very excited about your new phone. If you didn't pick up a protective case when you bought your phone, we highly recommend doing so. With the release of the new iPhone, Apple also published new information about how it will actually be with out-of-warranty repairs for this device. As you might expect, if you break your iPhone, it's going to be pretty expensive to fix.

If your new iPhone X screen breaks, it will cost you $280 to repair. If we recalculate this amount according to the current exchange rate and include some duty and tax, in the Czech Republic this service could be around 7-500 crowns. That's an amount that's not far off the purchase price of a basic iPhone SE. In addition to the display, you can also damage "other" things on your phone. So if you somehow significantly damage the internal components or the skeleton of the phone as such, the repair bill will climb to a very high 8 dollars (approx. 000.-).

The Apple Care+ service is ideal for these cases, but it is not officially available in our country. For an additional fee of $200, the warranty is extended to 2 years (which in our case does not change anything), but there is also a deductible for the first two damages caused by an accident. In the case of an iPhone for more than 30 crowns, this is already a very interesting offer that is worth considering. The user will then pay only $30 for the repair of the display, and only $100 for "other" damage. Apple Care+ can be purchased through a foreign Apple Store and can be connected to the device only within 60 days of purchase.
