In the fall, Google introduced its new Calendar for Android, and in addition to a number of handy functions, it was also inspired by modern Material Design, in whose spirit the entire Android system and applications from Google are now carried. Back then, iOS users were delighted by the promise that Google's new calendar would also come to the iPhone, and now it has indeed happened.

Until now, Google Calendar users could use the service without problems through the system application or thanks to the many third-party applications that supported Google Calendar. But now, for the first time in history, the ability to use this Google service in a native application comes to iOS. And what's more, she really made it.

Google Calendar is a real design treat. Its main advantage is the attractive display of your events, which is manifested by the fact that the calendar skilfully extracts the information it has about the event and visualizes it nicely. He does so, for example, according to her description, but also in other ways. Thanks to the connection with Google Maps, the application can also add a photo related to the location of the event to the event.

Google Calendar also cooperates with Gmail, which is especially useful for English-speaking users. For them, the application can retrieve information about the arranged breakfast from the e-mail and automatically add it to the calendar. In addition, automatic filling works great in the application, which will help you add places or contacts to the given event.

In terms of display options, the app offers three different views of calendar items to choose from. The first option is a clear list of all upcoming events, the next option is a daily view, and the last option is an overview of the next 3 days.

You'll need a Google account to get the app up and running, but after you launch it for the first time, you'll be able to use it to work with your iCloud calendars. But the application will not please iPad users. For now, Google Calendar is unfortunately only available for iPhone. The application icon is also a slight beauty flaw. Below that, Google couldn't fit the name of the application, which is so cut in half. In addition, the number 31 is constantly lit on the icon, which naturally evokes a false impression of the current date in the user.
