Adam Kos Even if Apple releases the iOS operating system to the whole world at the same time, it does not mean that everyone can enjoy the same features. The essential ones and those that are not tied to a given location and language are available to everyone if they own a supported device, but there are still many that we simply cannot fully enjoy in the Czech Republic.
Live text
Text is fully interactive on all photos with iOS 15, so you can use features like copy and paste, search, and translate. Live Text works in Photos, Screenshot, Quick Preview, Safari, and in Live Previews in the Camera app. And yes, we can also use it in the Czech Republic, however, its recognition and possibilities are considerably limited. It may be enough for rough operation, but the function is fully supported only in English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
Using Live Text in Photos
Dictation via keyboard
On supported iPhone models with an A12 Bionic chip or later, it is possible to dictate general text, such as when creating messages and notes, and process it directly on the device without the need for an Internet connection. When you use device dictation, you can dictate text of any length without a time limit. You can stop the dictation manually or it will stop automatically if you stop speaking for 30 seconds, but it requires the speech models to be downloaded.
However, official and full support is only available in Arabic, Cantonese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Yue (Mainland China). As you can see, Czech is nowhere to be found.
Weather
The new weather brought full-screen weather maps with precipitation, air quality and temperature. Animated precipitation maps then show the progress of the storm and the intensity of the approaching rain and snow. You can then see different conditions in your area on maps with data on air quality and temperature. That is, if you are located in France, India, Italy, South Korea, Canada, mainland China, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom or, of course, the USA. We are unlucky here, so let's just hope that the air here is cleaner than elsewhere.
Weather can also send rainfall notifications within the next hour. You can easily get information about when rain, snow, hail or rain with snow is approaching or has stopped. However, this feature is even more limited, focusing only on Ireland, the UK and the US.

Apple News+
Hundreds of magazines and leading newspapers - one subscription. This is how the company presents its Apple News service. According to Apple, it should be first-class journalism from titles you know and sources you trust, even offline. Even if we wanted to try the service, we are simply out of luck, because it is not available in the country at all, that is, neither in the free version, nor in the subscription with the prefix plus, which is $9,99 per month.

While the unavailability of News+ is more likely due to the absence of Czech text localization, it is even worse in the case of Fitness+. This service will also be available as part of a subscription for $9,99 per month, but its coverage of the world is very limited so far, and it is even a question whether it will ever officially reach us. After all, that's what we've been saying for many years io Crab. The problem is that many of us would be fine with Apple services in a foreign language, but Apple just doesn't want to provide them to us. In the case of Fitness+, it's so that we don't misinterpret an exercise described in English, get injured, and then sue Apple for personal injury.
