It was not so long ago that we informed you about the Jablíčkára website emergence (and subsequent extinction) of an extensive archive of mostly Apple-related promotional materials. After only a few days of operation, the archive was taken down due to copyright issues. But if you want to wade through the past of the Cupertino giant, don't despair - there is another legal solution available.

You surely know about the existence of a page that Apple devotes to press releases and official statements on its website. But you might be surprised to learn that this site includes an extensive archive that dates back to the year 2000. The first press release, which you can find in the Apple Newsroom archive, reports that a number of Apple board members enriched Genentech CEO Arthur Levinson.

The archive of Apple's press releases can serve not only for nostalgic reminiscence of products that the company introduced in the past. It also presents an interesting timeline of technological development as such. You can remember, for example, introduction of new models iBook product lines, release of the iPod and of course also on the introduction of the first iPhone.

Compared to the unofficial Apple archive, promotional photos are especially missing from press releases of an older date. In 2016, the page dedicated to press releases saw a significant change – Apple started adding high-quality photo galleries to the news in most cases. So you can look at the product images of the first ones AirPods or publication "Designed by Apple in California". But you can also find here, for example tips for shooting in portrait mode, which Apple first introduced with the release of the iPhone 7 Plus.

But Apple's press release archive isn't the only way to refresh your memories. If you want to remember what Apple's website looked like in, say, 2007, you can head over to web.archive.org, where you select the period you want to view on the timeline at the top of the screen.
