Daniel Mullins Games' card-based Inscryption became one of the best-rated games of the year last year. However, the stylish project originally aimed only at Windows PCs. However, nine months after its release, thanks to its popularity and indisputable quality, it has already spread to other platforms. Along with the announced Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 versions, the talented developer has decided to expand its fan base by releasing a macOS version.

Writing about Inscryption is quite difficult in that all the promotional materials available only present a certain part of the game, and for good reason. A video game can really surprise you with its gradual development. It offers everyone a high-quality experience already in its first part, which is inspired by the tried-and-tested model of card roguelikes. In it, you build a deck of cards representing various forest animals while trying to defeat a crazy maniac who threatens to kill you with each of your failed attempts.

Just how absorbing Inscryption can be in its opening section is proven by the sheer interest of the fans. After successfully going through the forest madness, completely new possibilities will open up for you, but the developer himself has released a mod that will trap you indefinitely in the first section and turn it into a full-fledged roguelike experience. But try it only after finishing the story mode. It offers one of the most original video game experiences of recent years.
