Foreign newsrooms got access to information that Apple allegedly distributes across its stores. Currently, there should be a serious shortage of some Apple Watch Series 3 configurations, and users who have their Series 3 serviced may be in for a pleasant surprise in the form of a trade-in for the new Series 4.

Information about this step should have been given to both employees of official Apple stores and those from the network of official certified services. In theory, this should also apply to customers in the Czech Republic, although this is less likely given the Series 3 model.

A possible exchange for a newer Series 4 is only if the owner requires repair/service on the Apple Watch Series 3 with a steel body and a sapphire crystal. That is, a model that is not officially sold on our market, although it is commonly available abroad. However, if you have this Series 3 variant (purchased, for example, in Germany) and you also have a problem with it that is solved under warranty service, it is very possible that you will get a new watch instead of a repair.

In the case of the Apple Watch, this is certainly not the first event of this kind. Apple already did something very similar with the Series 2 this January, when the owners of the Series 1 received the new model, which at that time was almost not available at all. It is not yet clear how permanent the condition is in the case of the Series 3.
